Spring at Greentown Farms: Big Plans and Blooming Dreams

March 15, 20252 min read

It’s that time of year again. The birds are singing, the trees are budding, and my garden is calling. There’s a certain magic in the air as spring settles in — the promise of new life, fresh growth, and endless possibilities.

This year feels especially exciting because I now have a greenhouse to extend my growing season. That means more fresh produce and vibrant blooms for a longer stretch of the year. Greentown Farms LLC is gearing up for a big season — we’re diving into small-scale produce and expanding our cut flower selection like never before. I can already picture the fields awash in color, alive with the hum of bees and the flutter of butterflies.

We have some ambitious — but exciting — plans in the works. I’m planting a three-acre flower meadow that will be a feast for the eyes and a haven for pollinators. Alongside it, I’m laying out walking trails through the timber so visitors can soak in the natural beauty up close. There’s something peaceful about wandering through wildflowers with the sounds of nature all around.

But that’s not all! I’m also developing campsites for those who want to spend a little extra time under the stars. And I’m thrilled to announce plans for you-pick zinnias and other blooms — there’s nothing quite like gathering your own bouquet straight from the field.

This season feels like the start of something special. Greentown Farms is growing — not just in crops and flowers, but in community and connection. I can’t wait to share it all with you. Here's to a season full of blooms, growth, and new beginnings!
